First of all Paramore and Evanescence are both terrible. Second of all they are not girl bands at all. Just because they're fronted by a female singer doesn't make them "girl" bands.

I personally love female vocalists.

Massive Attack - Tear Drop
Gregor Samsa - Even Numbers (They have a female and male singer but whatevs)

I'd say a girl band is a band with all female members. The only members of Paramore and Evanescence that are female are their vocalists. All the other members are male.
