It's pretty annoying in a Blockland TDM when I'm hosting a tactical TDM but we can't hear people when they're coming.  So I thought that someone could make footstep SFX for Blockland.  It would make loud footsteps when running and quiet, slower footsteps when holding down C, and crouching wouldn't have any sounds at all.

Pretty simple.


Make the sounds yourself. Original sounds are the best types of sounds.

Then have someone script it.

How would one go about making the footstep sounds and making them sound like a blockhead's footsteps? You could probably just record yourself walking, but that's a surface-specific noise, and it probably wouldn't sound right.
Then there would have to be a footstep player, which would somehow link part of the walking animation with footstep noises or something.

Moving would have to trigger an audio loop that perfectly matched up with the walking animation. I imagine it being glitchy when tapping the forward key.

he removed it because it was really annoying.

Now we need an OnPlayerMove event, for both zones and touch.




Maybe make it a tad quieter that or lower the falloff range.
Otherwise, that as an example is pretty cool.

Sounds pretty good.... I dont' like the 'jump' sound.  It sounds like a... you know...  a THING.


But I think footstep and jump sounds would be siiickool kids klub
