You should probably stop torrenting research
F-Secure isn't research.

F-Secure isn't research.

>Insinuating that it's not the F-Secure, its the research

Well, I mainly just get it off the s- I mean, what are you talking about?

You know what? Lets go through all the firewall crap.

researchhub is where its at man.
I MEAN-

I'm having that problem where Windows' Firewall turns itself on whilst the Windows Firewall Service is off so I can't actually shut it off. I have administrative rights, but it still won't allow me. It only turns on when it decides to. :panda:

Is there a system restore point?

Is there a system restore point?

It made one every time I messed with drivers. Although before I had to, the last restore point is probably far away...

It should still be there.

It should still be there.

I'm saying, although it made restore points for every driver change, the last restore point from before F-Secure might be at least a week before. :(

Isn't it worth a try?
I must say, Mega, you do whinge about problems but do nothing to fix them :)

Your solution was reformatting. I'd need to go through hours of "yes/no" stuff with my mom for what to keep and get rid of on her side, go through ALL my stuff on my side. Then I'd have to transfer it over, which would take hours. Reformat, reinstall XP, go through about 60 restarts as Windows updates itself in the most inefficient way. Then we go "Oh look what I just found, all you had to do was use THHHHIS driver they don't list. Would have been like 30 minutes at most."

So I got my DVD drive. As such, I'll need to put this wireless adapter in that computer. So any ideas that don't involve a day or two of arrangement?

That wasn't my solution. It was to check memory.

... In any case, it'll be a HUGE ass hassle to do. It'd be simpler to find the actual problem.

Found the problem, fixed. All I had to do was delete the wireless adapter off my router's network and wham, no more crashing. See, that's a ton more simple than reformatting.
