Alright, this is all of why I like Aperture.
#1 The whole mysteriousness about it. I like how the facility has so many stories, and secrets. I always wonder about those dinosaur transmission noises. What they are supposed to be.
#2 Even if in apocalyptic events, and destruction, the AIs are always there, even if GLaDOS killed all of the employees, they still get the science done.
#3 Technology. They can have a person half-dead, half-alive in a bed for tons of years, and awaken them. Also, that Handheld Portal Device. I'm not sure how it pops these weird holes in a wall without creating a block hole or something, and allow a person to step through it, and come out of another hole. This is quite interesting.
