I need a recording software to record my games with and I've heard many use Fraps. Is it worth buying? Or do you guys know another program like Fraps that works better?

I use FRAPS, but you'll need a decent computer to run it lag free.

I havent tried fraps but just make sure not to use hypercam.

Even on crap computers I've never had an FPS impact too big. Although I have heard cases where lag can be ugly.

I insist on Fraps in Windows though. The output can be a major data rape, you might want to convert it with iWisoft Free Video Converter (100% free converter <3).

LeetZero uses a really good one but im pretty sure it costs quite a bit.

It's awesome quality yet huge files. It's the best out there I'd say, because the trial version watermark doesn't cover the entire screen. You only get 30 seconds though, so you have to have short scenes.

Of course if you buy it or do the action we shall not speak of, that limitation's removed.

Good enough?

The reason Fraps outputs good quality is because it doesn't compress the video. You can save yourself $40 if you use a free screen recorder and turn off compression. It's the same thing.

You will experience bad lag on GPU heavy games, and some on other games, as your GPU is quite low end, but it shouldn't be too bad.
You'd easily be able to video games like Minecraft without lag.

fraps is very good and is very worth buying, I would recommend it :-) (ps: unblock me on steam XD)
