Author Topic: Stalkers vs Humans - RELEASED  (Read 38147 times)

1. Should Stalkers have night vision if they have the clientside mod installed?

2. Pick any 2 spells from the following list to be added
Gripping Shadows: Roots the target in place for 5 seconds.
Disarm: The victim drops their weapon and is unable to equip it for 6 seconds.
Aegis: The stalker reflects all projectiles and negates all melee attacks while channeling Aegis, which would rapidly drain energy and have a cooldown (longer cooldown for longer use).
Desecrate: Increases the effectiveness of magic/curses in the target area.
Enrage: Boosts movement speed and/or damage dealt for an amount of time. Could interact with damage dealt or taken, or affect teammates.
Cripple: Reduces the target's movement speed.
Escape: Switch positions with a random human, anywhere in the map.

3. Pick any 2 curses from the following list to be implemented
Storm: Forcefully knocks all humans out of the target area. The direction chosen will be random to discourage lava kills.
Weakness: Reduces damage dealt by 10%, building per second the victims remain within the curse and stacking to 100%. Sort of like reverse Rage.
Abyss: Slows all victims by 50%. If they remain within the curse's area of effect for 7 seconds, they are blinded continuously until the curse ends.
Psychosis: Spawns a dummy Stalker every 2 seconds for each victim within the area of effect, that charges the victim that caused it to be spawned. The dummies deal no damage and will disappear upon being touched, attacked, or after the curse ends.
Death/Doom: No effect... until the victims have remained in the curse for 7 seconds. If they do, they will instantly be killed.
Clumsiness: Victims have a 50% chance to be disarmed per tick, and a 25% chance to be slowed for 2 seconds. Or this could interact with the current speed of the victim.
Knives: Every 2 seconds, a knife projectile will spawn directly above each human within range of the curse and travel downwards. The knife will deal 20 damage upon successful hit.

I would love Gripping Shadows for spells at least.

Storm and Psychosis. Aegis and Enrage.

Also, wont this unbalance the teams quite a bit?

Edit: Yes

1. Yes
2. Gripping shadows and Disarm
3. Storm and Knives

Escape sounds good. You should rename it to Switch as stalkers can use it to "teleport" into the center of a group of humans and cause havoc.

Actually, I was just thinking, and having Escape and Shadowstep would be silly, they are basically the same thing.

What?
Shadowstep puts you behind your target.
Escape switches you and a random human. You might want to make this unable to use if in the air to keep players from jumping over lava and swaping.)
Doesn't seem that similar.

Also I choose
Spells: Aegis, Disarm
Curses: Knives, Psychosis

Edit: Yes for 1.

I'm just saying I don't think it would really be worth getting both, different styles would be better.

So all the items or almost al the items listed are included in a gamemode you made?

You do have a point. It would probably best if there were different types of abilities.
So I'ma change my pick. c:

Yes, excepting the weapons from tier tactical

No they aren't. Though both teleport you, one is much more reliable but lacks much defensive use (Shadowstep), the other is less reliable and lacks much offensive use (Escape).

EDIT: So far on the voting: It's looking like Gripping Shadows/Aegis and Storm/Psychosis but these might change as I get more opinions.

I'm just saying I think they're to similar to have as separate items. But that's just my opinion.

Also, what about upgrading weapons? For both teams, obviously.

Gripping Shadows, Aegis

Knives Psychosis

The results are:
Spells: Aegis, Gripping Shadows
Curses: Psychosis, Abyss

Spock has requested that I consider replacing Aegis with a smokescreen spell, I'm just going to start a poll and see what everyone likes more.

Are you going to release this game mode?  Or is it already.
