You can take down an entire army by yourself simply by tapping X repeatedly. Or whatever it is on the PlayStation.
The lightsaber from Lego Star Wars is by far the most badass weapon I have ever seen a video game character use.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and you can deflect blaster bolts with it too. If you have a firing squad with their sights set on you, just whip out your lightsaber(hurr durr loveual joke), press X a few times at the right moment, and they don't stand a chance.

EDIT EDIT: Oh yeah, and double jumping followed by an attack does a badass slam move in which the Jedi plunges his lightsaber into the ground below him, sending out a shockwave that kills all within the radius. Badass.

It SHOULD. It's a sword made out of loving laser energy. Unless your enemy is wearing a suit made completely of mirrors, no armor can stop it.
