I like industrial metal, sludge metal, post-metal and the more atmospheric type of black metal. I don't listen to much metal stuff anymore but here is some stuff I do like.

Nine Inch Nails (Broken through the Fragile)
Godflesh
Swans (If you want to consider them industrial metal. It's pretty heavy stuff actually)

CIA
Neurosis
Mastodon
Baroness
Agalloch
Alcest
Les Discrets

The only other thing I have to add to this topic is that hardcore death metal fans, black metal fans, etc etc all fill me with rage.

Metal is not the only genre and stop acting like it's a loving lifestyle. It makes you look immature and loving stupid.
