How can A simple freeze Break a disk drive ?

I had this too and I just reinserted the disc a few times until it worked.

Tired didn't work. Well My friend caused this and now he says he doesn't owe me anything and I have to buy another ps3 I guess or repair this one :/

>Disconnect old drive
>Attach new one

Also, if it doesn't fit in the case, extend the cable out of the case. It won't look pretty, but it will work and be a cheap fix.

It sounds like the laser in your ps3 went out. You'll have to send it to Sony or find someone else to repair it.

if youre browsing the BL forums im sure you can find a site with a ps3 disc drive.
