Oh I see...
I treated the slash as division.

It is division.

For the dumb people, explain how you got 288 or I call you all to dinner. Or liars, or something like that.
PEMDAS is wrong.

PE M&D AS is right.

When you're down to a problem where both multiplication and division are present, you do it left to right.

It's not Multiplication first, division second.

Where you guys forgeted up is on the step:
48/2*12

You do 24 then multiply it by 12.

forget that stuff this is forgeted i was never good at math

This is obvious.

Actually, it's PE M&D A&S.

It is division.
I noticed when I looked at it the second time.

How the hell did you people get 2? Its 288.

Oh whoops, that's right.

Hey wait! You have no purpose correcting me because you got 2 as your answer.

Thank you Seventh, we needed this reality check to root out those with lacking skills.

Tyler, if it was a fraction, it would be done exactly the same way. So...uh... care to explain what you thought it was?
How the hell did you people get 2? Its 288.
Divided the 24 by the 12 for some reason.

Ah, got it.

So wait, it is 288, yes?

Anyone who says otherwise needs to go back to 6th grade. :D
