Author Topic: EA are apparently making a new NFS game  (Read 1167 times)

So, out of curiosity I went to the nfsaddons.com website looking for some NFS:HS mods, and found this on the front page:

It feels like the NFS series has hit rock bottom. Instead of actual driving we get a stuffty storyline (by the looks of even worse than NFS:Undercover) and tons of interactive cutscenes. Is this an NFS game or a stuffty budget 3DO game?

Discuss this abomination and why EA should be ashamed to even consider calling it Need for Speed.

They should focus on something NEW that we can all enjoy, not just recycled Need For Speed a million times.

I didn't like Need for Speed after Wanted.

Need for Speed 2 :3

>cops shooting at street racers
what

>dodging bullets
>quicktime events
>parkour
>in a racing game
the forget

the driving looks cool but this is just outlandish

Why can't they back to their old ways of Need for Speed?

Why can't they back to their old ways of Need for Speed?
cause everything needs to be new
and hip

What the forget, you're racing like you should be in a NFS game and then outta nowhere you get rammed by a vehicle which in the older games you would just keep going but since its part of some sort of storyline you go into a interactive cut scene where you press same button like 4 times?

This doesn't feel like Need for Speed, why not change the name?

They need to move back to arcade racers, that's what they're good at. I just want Underground 3. That would be loving awesome.

they are making a cinematic action game out of a racing game.

ew lol.
just press spacebar when it says, and you will finish the game soon.

Need for Speed: Liberty City

>NFS developers watching an action movie
"Hey, let's make a stuffty NFS game out of this!"
"Seems risky"
"Who cares? It will get us more money!"
"You're right! Let's do it!"
>NFS: The Run is born

i also heard theres no customization. lolforgetthis

Heard about this a long time ago, quite frankly the general concept seems boring as hell. NFS has so much potential but theyre going the wrong way with it.

Really it's Criterion's call as they are developing it. The driving aspect should be good though, Criterion developed the Burnout series.

EDIT: Just saw the video. Doesn't look too bad. It looks good enough to the point where I'd think about buying it.

I don't mean the gameplay or story or any of that
