I've had experience with 2 Acers, both are still going to this day.

I swear by the brand Compaq, I think they are a division of HP.

They are well designed, very affordable, and if you look around you can find very impressive specs in their laptops for the money. They are sturdy and well built.

I have a Dell, but I pretty much said, "forget you" and removed all their pre-loaded stuff on the hardd-rive. I'm using a faster, larger one now, though.
