I use Win 7 Ultimate. But its all preferance IMO.

Brofist.

If professional is the only one that offers DirectX 11, I'm of course going with that.

Anyone have any objections?

All of them support DirectX 11. :c

I suppose Ultimate, it looks good.

Home Premium is nice, but Ultimate looks better.

7 or vista
Thats kinda like asking if you want a clunker or a new BMW when the clunker costs more

Vista sucks compared to 7.

Use XP

Do this. Unless you are building a good computer then go 7. Windows vista takes the most memory to run, Windows 7 takes second most, and XP takes the very least.

Go with windows 1.01 :|
1.01 wastes the least amount of memory.

No no no no no. Use Windows XP, one of the best selling OS's in the world. :)

I don't really think Ultimate is worth it, except for a few odd cases. I used to have Vista OEM upgraded to Win7 Ultimate on my old computer, and the only Ultimate-only feature I used was the ability to change the language, but even that I used very sparingly.
I would suggest getting either Home Premium or Professional, depending on if you need XP Mode.

I still miss good old Vista though.
