HAF 932 coolermaster case
750 watt PSU
8GB of RAM
Windows 7 professional 64 bit OEM

and a few other things.

Anyone have any recommendations for future upgrades? I just ordered all of it's parts. Of course eventually I'll add an SSD of some kind and move all the important stuff over to it.

How much was the total and from where did you order it?

Newegg, and it cost 1,600$ along with many other things I ordered along side it.

I did my homework though and compared prices between tigerdirect and newegg and a few were cheaper.

So I'd say around 1,500.

So you didn't order a motherboard?

So you didn't order a motherboard?
I did lol.

I didn't put it in the specs though.

I ordered an Asus P8z68-Vpro motherboard. Mainly because it appears to be the best reviewed LGA 1155 motherboard.

How on earth did you spend $1600 and only get those specs? You could've done alot better.

I wanted a full case and I ordered a lot of additional stuff and peripherals.

I could cut 100$ off by getting a smaller case

But I do like being futureproofed c:

If you want future proofed, don't order until later in the year.  PCI-e 3 is coming out soon and your computer will be instantly outdated.

Dude lol, a new videocard comes out every month.

I just want this one to last me awhile.

It's not possible for me to order later in the year due to school and all my different responsibilities. Right now is by far the best time.

Why did you get an i7? Are you going to do video editing and taxing multi-tasking? No game needs the i7s power yet, i5 works just fine for everything. But, I guess you future-proofed your computer.

The PCI-e will out do the older ones by far.

But whatever, your money.

It's for future proofing.

I really don't want to upgrade it any time soon, and the way I figure, buying an i5 and then an i7 later when a game needs it will cost more then just buying the i7 now and overclocking it the forget up.

I'm very impatient when it comes to this so I'm afraid I'm just going to do this now lol.

I'll upgrade eventually.

I don't suggest the HAF case. It's massive and extremely heavy

I can easily switch it out later.

It's not too big compared to the place I have to put it.

It's 2 feet tall which is around the size of my desk, so I can place it next to it without a problem.

My goal is to improve it with my needs and I have a lot of plans for this year c:
