Author Topic: Victorian Era Games?  (Read 3430 times)

I really like 1800s England as a game setting, so do you guys know any good PC games that take place in that time? Puzzle and/or Mystery and/or Adventure is preferred. Thanks in advance.

I will take any good puzzle, mystery, or adventure game recommendations, regardless of setting.

I suppose the words, 'puzzle', 'mystery', and 'adventure' mean nothing to you.

hammerfight is adventure

Fable III, I think.
Lionhead sort of wanted to make Albion go through a sort of industrial revolution with this game. It seems like 1800s-y to me.
Too bad it's such a bad game compared to others in the series.

Steampunk ok with you?

hammerfight is adventure

"An adventure game is a video game in which the player assumes the role of protagonist in an interactive story driven by exploration and puzzle-solving instead of physical challenge. The genre's focus on story allows it to draw heavily from other narrative-based media such as literature and film, encompassing a wide variety of literary genres. Nearly all adventure games are designed for a single player, since this emphasis on story and character makes multi-player design difficult."

Being a richard doesn't seem to make people like you.

What? You're the one being a richard here.

He makes a dumb suggestion that doesn't fit my criteria. I'm supposed to play a game I have no interest in just because you write "/thread"?

Reading helps, first post suggests Hammerfight and he not only turns it down but insults the persons intelligence. Not to mention Dkamm is a total friend
