Tobe's Vertical Adventure

This game seems pretty cool, it's another new game that has retro style graphics like Scott Pilgrim or Retro City Rampage. Ignore the starfish comments saying stuff about the graphics. Personally I like pixel graphic over flash graphics it just has that awesome feeling to it that flash can't get and I can't really explain.

It doesn't look very interesting, maybe that's just because I don't like platformer/puzzle games. Nice color pallete choice though.

I usually like these kind of games, but it's so overdone for me. If I want to play something like this I just go to Nitrome. :/

I think it has more style and charm than flash games. Flash games just look so flat and paper like to me.

This is true, but I think that it just looks clunky and old. Not the look, but the controls. It had interesting looks, but it still looked more flat that most flash games I have played. The backgrounds move, the shading makes things pop out, and just the little things. And I'm not talking about all flash games, but I'm talking about the ones that are pixel based. They just look more fun that that does.
