Author Topic: Dungeons of Dredmore  (Read 1124 times)

Dungeons of Dredmore is an inexpensive roguelike game. It has a huge array of items and weapons, as well as an immense crafting system. There is also a large selection of perks and skill sets to choose from.
Or you could just randomly pick skills and hope for the best!
There are currently 5 types of weapons available for use in the game.
Swords
damage and crit rate are both medium.
Staffs
Low damage and medium crit rate, but increases magic power
Axes
high damage but low crit rate
Mace/Blunt
low damage but high crit rate.
Crossbows and bolts
low damage and low crit rate. Requires ammunition.
Throwing weapons
Shurikens and knives, Flasks of acid and firewater, and Bombs. Requires ammunition.

Each weapon requires the skill mastery for you to use it effectively (Axe mastery, sword mastery, etc.),
and you only get 7 skill points total, so choose wisely

Some Skills
Golem summoning (pretty straight forward)
Dual wielding
Promethian magic (Fire magic)
Necronomiconomics (Dark magic)
Ley walking (mana regeneration)
Mathemagic (Algebraic Magic)

There are also some skills that increase crafting.
Alchemy, Tinkering, and smithing.

There is a large amount of humor in the game, as can be seen with the vamparism skill, leaving sparkles behind you as you walk, or the fact that magic idols are in the shape of kittens. I reccomend this game as a must have for anyone that enjoys being able to choose their own path in games.

Crossbows also depend on the kind of ammunition for their damage. The kinds of bolts range from plastic toys to, quite literally, nuclear missiles...

there is a total of 36 skills to choose from in the game, but your character only gets 7 at one time.
