THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

How do you become a vampire? Is it just like you get attacked by one with the disease? Or is it within a quest to become one?

Contracted the vampire disease but I had no idea what it was and thought since I was Argonian it wouldn't do stuff

I agree/dissagree
Yes, in oblivion you can just sit sit down and have fun, but it's also one of those games where you can't really be satisfied by a few minutes of play.

When I say "pick up and play" I don't mean like turn it on play for 5 seconds and stop. I kind of meant it's like easy to play and have fun in. Of course you'd play for a while.

You can get it by fighting vampires. Or during the Dark Brotherhood questline you have the oppurtunity to choose to become one.
I prefer contracting accidentally, for role playing purposes.

Also, I don't think they'll be doing vampires in Skyrim. It would be more likely to do werewolves. If you recall in the one book in  Oblivion, the only vampires to the frozen north were like water vampires or something that would rise up through the ice. It doesn't seem like they would do that.

I'm actually starting to think there wont be werewolves or vampires in Skyrim.

I mean, you're a dragon born.

  • Creatures and enemies confirmed: Bandits, wolves, Dragons, horses, Elk, Mountain Giant, Frost Troll, Giant Spider, Draugr Undead, Specter, Werewolf, Ice Wraith.
It's in the OP.

For realism purposes, if a werewolf is in the area it'll probably be likely to bite you.

well, just because there are werewolves doesnt mean we will get infected.

Where have werewolves been confirmed?

In this video: http://www.pcgames.de/The-Elder-Scrolls-5-Skyrim-PC-128680/News/The-Elder-Scrolls-5-Skyrim-Pete-Hines-im-Video-Interview-Community-Fragen-beantwortet-840076/

The interviewer mentions vampires and werewolves and Pete Hines says they're not talking about that. That doesn't give us much information, but it shows that it is still a possibility and they're keeping their mouths shut about it.

I think they just don't want to promise anything.
They want to be sure more important things are done first.

True.
But there'd be a hell of an outcry when people find werewolves and discover Dovahkiin can't be infected.
If werewolves are actually in the game, I'm pretty sure Bethesda would incorporate lycanthropy.

FrozenEye said he copied and pasted those facts from somewhere. I don't know how reliable a source they originated in, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Don't forget foxes and rabbits. They can briefly be seen in the Skyrim gameplay video.
