THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

I'm glad they are getting rid of the school of Mysticism. It bothered me. :c

But it sounds like a great game. Great graphics, too. :D

Yeah. I never liked Mysticism much.

To anyone who did like mysticism name one genuinely useful spell that it had.

Oh WOW, lol. Someone in a Minecraft forum thread was talking about fanboyism.

Yeah. I never liked Mysticism much.
It's not that I didn't like it. It was just pointless. What was in it that was so important? I mean, yes, it is the manipulation of mystic forces as opposed to Alteration which was physical forces, but most of it was manipulating physical aspects of the world anyway. Everything except soul trap could fit in Destruction or Alteration. But soul trap could technically fit into restoration if they edited it's description slightly. :o

Like I said, Soul trap. But that was really it. And that was all that really actually fit in the catagory. Everything else was just stuffing that wasn't useful enough to fit anywhere else.

Also, I'm talking about it from Morrowind. In Oblivion, it was made a bit more useful, but once again, they could have placed those spells anywhere. They were just afraid of change. :c

Soul trap is evil. How are their souls supposed to be reincarnated if they're used to charge up a long stick that shoots fire?

Also, one time I made the mistake of getting TelekenCIA Mage staff in Oblivion.

Soul trap is evil. How are their souls supposed to be reincarnated if they're used to charge up a long stick that shoots fire?
One could technically argue that soul trap doesn't really take their "soul", per se, but rather it just takes any natural magicka that is in the creature, which is why the "souls" actually have power to them instead of just being an essence of life and why mystic creatures (Like mythical beasts, gods, saints, etc.) have much more powerful "souls". That also explains why robots don't have "souls".

...Then again, NPCs don't either. Maybe Bethesda is just trying to make a religious statement. :o

I need some help.

So, Im saving for a computer, because mines toast and my moms is very slow.
But, if I save for a computer, I might not be able to buy Skyrim.
But if I preorder Skyrim, I might not be able to get a new computer in time.

:(

Get it for console.
Problem solved.

I like Mysticism actually. Telekenesis is fun as hell, and it's always good knowing when there's an enemy around the corner in a well-lit area. Soul Trap, however, I find no use for. There's a Grand Soul Gem in the Arcane University lobby in a locked display case that already has a grand soul in it.
I steal it, duplicate about 196 copies of it, and I'm ready to enchant.
Reflect damage and Absorb magic are also pretty helpful. Dispel is for lazy people who don't like to wait for timers to run out.

If they incorporate these effects into a different school, I'm good to go.

Beg pardon?

the quakecon thing went nicely, according to what i heard, the audience just yelled out "KILL THEM" whenever todd walked by a living thing.

Todd confirms the pc version looks "wayyyyy better" than the console version :)

You were there?

Soul Trap will likely be going into the Enchanting skill
