THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

No multiplayer, not buying it until it's cheap or Christmas, and it's going on the Xbox probably, for lack of multiplayer.

Of course it won't have multiplayer what are you handicapped?
That would break the game so much.

Explain that please.

Player 1 is level 5 and just started.

Player 2 is level 53 and has finished every quest.

Player 2 has just given player 1 full Daedric Armour, 10,000 gold, and every key there is. Before you spout THIS CAN BE DONE WITH THE CONSOLE, it only backs up my point that the PC allows too many options for cheating. Also, player 2 could kill everyone in player 1's world. This would also cause a problem with mixing worlds since many people would be dead/alive depending on how the other players chose to play the story.

What if player 2 took an item that player 1 needed to complete a quest, or killed important characters?

I don't think it would break the game, but no elder scrolls has had any multiplayer and to expect it would be stupid.

I prefer single player games anyway. I wouldn't want to play this with anyone else. When I play an RPG I actually roleplay. I walk around towns visit friends and live in a house.

I'm especially excited that you can marry people in this game.

footage to quakecon has been taken down due to copywrite claim from zenimax.

I wouldn't even like a game like this to have multiplayer

Not all games have to have it. This is one of those games where even if your internet goes out, it doesn't matter and is therefore the best game to play in that situation 8)

Besides I was perfectly content with Morrowind not having it, or Oblivion, or Fallout 3, or FNV.

That's why you only play with friends, many games (That I can't think of at the moment) have level scaling so if you join at level 50 into a game with a level 5 you'll be level 7 or whatever. What about Borderlands? They didn't have a problem with level 5 and 50s being together, because nobody does it and it takes the fun out. If this game is about freedom you should be allowed to do this.

Just have a level scaling, main character and a safety mode. Like Fable. The game works out pretty well that way and is an option.

I don't buy anything without multiplayer until it's under 40 dollars, it's a new engine so I expected multiplayer because it's in everything, expect it everywhere in the future.

Why not have multiplayer optional, so you CAN play single player or Multiplayer, like every other game with multiplayer.

LOL multiplayer what a joke, dont buy it then it doesn't matter to us lol

Nope

Hiro is a friend and multiplayer is for hipsters.
This game is good without it.

Pretty much all of Bethesda's games still get Game of the Year without it.

ITT people hate on multiplayer games and call it stupid and say it wouldn't make sense when it makes alot of sense and would make a "good" game more fun to play, because you can play with friends.

forget even Diablo allowed people within a certain amount of levels to join your game.

this

besides imagine how terrible it would be if you were on the opposite side of the world in a dungeon and you're friend was on the other side above ground

That just wouldn't work, and i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be possible to keep the game as it is and add multiplayer because take Two Worlds for example. The world was so big, then in multiplayer you could only play "chunks" of the map at a time.

It just wouldn't work end of story

this game is too good for you don't buy it

Go play an MMORPG if you want to play multiplayer.
The Elder Scrolls is one of the games left that doesn't use multiplayer as part of it's backbone.

Call of Duty relies so much more on it's multiplayer than the actual story, as well as a lot of games.
Todd knows exactly what he's doing. He's been doing it for the past years.

Ouch
That would work just fine, if you can solo the whole loving game then you can explore a dungeon alone, that doesn't even make sense.
Minecraft has multiplayer and infinitely large maps smd

You can't find any MMORPGs with detail and quality like an Elder Scrolls game.
