I always thought that Longswords required 2 hands, or atleast irl.

In Elder Scrolls, claymores are the two-handers. Longswords and from then down are one.

I hate that Claymores aren't blunt in TES. If I recall, claymores tend to smash bones more than actually CUT things.

but they're not a blade, they're an axe. when someone says "I WIELD A BLADE" you automatically think a sword, not an axe. but i see what you mean, i thought it was weird axes were blunt too.

I guess an axe is considered blunt due to the stick or post the axeblade is put on or into. Which is blunt.
