THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

That image has already been posted before :I

Bow & Arrow needs to come out on top. It really does.

Bow down to the melee master race.
I'm pretty sure shooting arrows makes you slow, so if you've got some guy charging you with a sword and shield, you're gonna get raped.
It's just far easier and more satisfying to bludgeon people to death with blunt objects.

Nope.
Shooting someone with a bow and arrow is a lot more satisfying, i mean, you never get hurt!

That's why you do a mix.
Shoot them with arrows gaining stealth crits and if they survive long enough to reach you pull out a sword or whatever and fight.

Of course you could also just use magic for long and close ranged combat, but that's like another whole game play style.

While it is immensely satisfying to whack things in their puny skulls with a hammer the size of a station wagon, being able to send a volley of arrows from the shadows into the pupils of your unsuspecting victims is, in my opinion, moreso.

Being a stealth character, however, is great fun with a shortsword. And you get higher crit damage with sneak attacks with a melee weapon.

I have no comment on magic.

After reading that post, I just got a wonderful idea.

What if you could shoot more than one arrow at a time :o

What if I could shoot magical flaming swords with a bow?

That'd be interesting, at the expense of, say, less damage done by each individual arrow.

Yes.
But i was thinking after level, um, lets say 75, you are granted the ability to shoot 2-3 arrows at a time, but for every arrow you add, the accuracy would lower.

Accuracy could be a factor.
Perhaps firing rate as well. Suitable payment for being able to rain arrows on your foes like a boss.

Perhaps not damage, but accuracy and firing rate. We don't want to discourage multi-arrow archery too much.
