THE BEST WEAPON CHOICE?

Bow & Arrow - I like to sneak around and kill from afar!
Melee - Stealth and Mage characters are just wimps. Real men use swords!
Magic - Both Sword and Bow are rendered useless against my spells!

Author Topic: The Elder Scrolls - Megathread - Skyrim is 57 days away!  (Read 112966 times)

I've been telling my mom and dad that I'm not going to school that day since Skyrim was announced.
Even if they do not allow me to I'll just skip without their permission, I drive to school so I'll just drive to the store instead.

Skyrim is more important than whatever I might be doing in school that day.

Your dream company comes to school that day and they chose you to work/tour their office and chill with the staff for a day and then ask you if you'd like to work there.

Bethesda is coming to my school?!
Skyrim can wait.

That would not happen.
Bethesda would never come to this stuffty school hidden in the mountains.

My other dream job, Google. Is more likely, but that doesn't matter much because I wouldn't care to meet anyone who works there, I just want to work at their HQ because the employess are treated awesomely there.

A bit hostile, there. I'm just saying that I hope it lives up to all of your expectations.

Lies.

Oblivion was no disappointment.
Yeah. I feel like we're going to have a lot of people when Skyrim comes out saying things like "Oblivion was better!"

But as Todd Howard said in one interview, "Some people will always like the previous game more than the current one. But most of us dont care because they are all so different. Morrowind, for example, was based around the idea that 'You are a stranger in a strange world' while Oblivion is based around Realistic Fantasy."

I still enjoyed Oblivion over Morrowind.
I don't see why people hate it that much.

I don't hate it.
It just disappointed me since morrowind's atmosphere was so much better, and there was more to do and no lame quest markers/fast travel. Also more types of weapons and armor and more legendary weps and YOU COULD FLAI

Again, refer to this quote for the atmosphere.

As for the quest markers and fast travel, you could choose to not use them.

But the way morrowind did it actually gave you directions to the place you needed to go.
Oblivion's makes you use them, since it doesnt give specific directions.

only use your map
ignore the quest arrow.
The people don't tell you specific directions but they mark it on your map.
If you ignore the compass completely it all makes sense.

Actually, this makes a lot of sense.
They mark it on your map, and thats (in my opinion) better than giving you a list of directions.
Ive always been bad and getting to places without a map, and thats part of the reason Im not a huge fan of Morrowind.
