Dreams dont mean anything, but They will change from the way your stress is, You mainly get dreams/nightsmares from what you ahve been thinking about throughout the day, for example, if a mouse is thinking about getting cheese in the day, when he goes to bed, he can have a dream or a nightmare about getting the cheese (if its a dream) And not getting the cheese ( if its a nightmare) So bassically nightmares and dreams arent just doing rock paper scissor, I honestly believe that if you were stressed out throughout the day, but thinking about somthing nice, that nice thing might get twisted into a nightmare, And if your not stressed, then you will get a nice dream, Heres a cookie for a better night!
