why you would quote yourself twice with that statement is beyond me. Saying "cool" at the end most likely implies you obviously know it won't, so there's not a need to get Kalphiter to notice what you said if you answered it yourself. Use common sense.

Calm down young child, i meant to quote it without the cool in it.
Take your medicine and all will be well.

So blockland cloud isn't going to be a replica of RTB anymore?

Edit: Oops.. lol.

One can't read your mind through the internet, and there's a lovely preview button before you post! Even a handy edit button after you post! Would ya look at that!

>implying something's wrong with me even though the wrong was on your part

lol

There are a couple of reasons I took music submission off RTB:

  • They function entirely differently to all other add-ons (they have to be downloaded to the Music folder instead of a zip file going to the Add-Ons folder) which means a lot of extra code changes to make it work.
  • People wanted to upload multiple bits of music into one submission which meant a lot of db and interface changes to support.
  • People tended to upload full tracks which exposed me to copyright and licensing issues which I don't want to deal with.
  • People uploaded music for the sake of having submitted things which led to people just uploading albums of music at a very high bitrate which meant I was storing all this crappy music and nobody was downloading it.

All in all, music just isn't worth the effort for me.

Ive asked Ephialtes regarding same thing, and he gave me the same answer.
I still think the effort should be put into it.

Sure - by someone else. I feel there are far more exciting things I could be developing for RTB that people have never had before. Music downloading just doesn't get anywhere near the top of that list.

So if someone made a way to support Music Downloading for RTB, it could be added to RTB? Cool. Too bad I have not the time or knowledge to do anything like that.

  • I don't mind the extra work. I'm not going after the client-sided stuff yet anyway
  • Well, I have a multi-file uploader and you will be able to choose which order your music is approved
  • Strict reviewing

I know it has nothing to do with you, but I'm telling people why I won't quit on this.

I have just decided to remove the Music section from the new Downloads Manager for the following reason:

Ephi hates Green Day so much that he is removing the entire music section
