Please don't recommend stuffty laptops. Alienware are overpriced, use stuffty hardware and will turn into an expensive paperweight in a few months. The only thing they sell on is the false illusion that it's great because of the spunky case design and the words they use to describe them.
Do you own one?

Intel Core i7 990x Extreme Six Core Processor (4.0GHz, 12MB Cache)
Windows 7, 64Bit
12GB2 Tri-Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1600Mhz
2000GB3 SATA II hard drive (7200RPM)
Dual 4GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6990
what was that?
what you said would make it true that all new computers will become a paperweight in a few months

Do you own one?
No, I would have to be given one to use one.

They are built crappily. IDK exactly what you meant as it sounds like you've used a translator from Japanese.

My laptop got bumped back to Christmas :c

Stop being a richard. Alienware builds quality stuff, they cost more, they are slightly overpriced, but they can crap out some amazing things. Your obviously the aficionado of Alienware products, because you don't own one. I can vouch that my M15x laptop still works great, I bought it in September 2009. And when it comes to desktops, when they are over 2000$, I no longer trust myself to build one.

Well ethan, if you have an aging Alienware and it needs fixing, they actually upgrade it.
PLUS! They are actually better built than most other laptops.

Everyone who suggests Alienware are idiots. Alienware = Dell marketing edition.

Thankyou.

Alright.
Slightly overpriced? It costs $350 to upgrade your RAM on your new Alienware from 6GB DDR3 1333, to 12GB DDR3 1333.
Let's look at where this $350 went.

Oh, I don't really know. Maybe they used a really good part?
Even the most overpriced compatible memory is only $75.
This is just one example of their marketing scheme that completely relies on the gullibility of the clients to not know any better.

Oh look, you've owned one alienware! That totally makes you an expert on the reliability of all alienwares, doesn't it? Yeah!
I don't need to have owned one to know that the general build quality isn't what it should be. In fact, all of the computers I've had in my lifetime, right back to a Toshiba Satellite 2520CDT from about 1998, are all still working, and none of them are dells.
