Author Topic: Brink Steam free weekend  (Read 4318 times)

mine's been finished since may 10th, pce

I'll play tomorrow, in the options menu, i can have everything except Ambient Occlusion, that seems to slow down the game

I'm thinking getting into a match will kill the computer all together :cookieMonster:

Eh, not a big fan of the game after playing it.

Definitely not worth a buy imo.

Nobody can run Brink at the highest settings because it's so loving poorly optimized that I can't get above 15fps on the minimum settings. :C

I could run it on high.

About 25 fps on singleplayer.

I was bored with it after 10 minutes.

Yeah, it feels too repetitive.

Seriously does anyone have some tips on increasing download speed?

It's a forgetin' shooter, of course it's going to be repetitive.

If a game switched around too much people wouldn't play it.

Change your download server. Chances are the server you're downloading from is overloaded from all the people downloading it.

Thanks, it worked.

forget you guys, i get 350 kb/s max

Ugh, I can't even play this. I turned all of the graphics settings down but it still runs in little bursts. It takes more precision than it should just to put my cursor over one of the buttons because it jerks around.

I really don't like this laptop.

yep

mine refuses to run good too.

lol the only fields i pass in is OS and free disk space

everything else is awful apparently

even after downloading something that changes the config files and doing everything shown in a guide i found in a google search(SEEMS LEGIT) i still average 3-5 fps

before i did that the menus were hell

Yeah this was obviously designed for high-end gaming PCs, not "Limited Edition" (read: impulse buy filled with discount hardware) laptops

I'd say more mid-end, id Tech 4 is pretty dated.
