A high school student named John Chester was about to graduate and move on in life, he went to a first class school in the richest part of the city and his family was especially wealthy.
The tradition at John's school was that when a child graduates, their parents would buy them their first car. A few days before the graduation John and his father were looking for cars and came across a Ferrari for $168,600. Immediately John asked his father for that exact car and his father agreed to get it for him but he would have to wait until the graduation.
After the graduation John walked over to his father excitedly awaiting the keys to the car of his dreams, instead though, his father handed him an old copy of a bible. Outraged and angered John through the bible on the ground and walked off.
John wouldn't talk to his father, he ignored all of his post cards and phone calls, never forgetting the day his father denied him his car at the graduation.
Many years passed and Johns father died, after the funeral John and his family went to get their inheritance from his father's will.
In the will, John got one item, the bible his father had given him on the day of his graduation.
Later that night John was tossing and turning, thinking about his dad and the bible, eventually he decided to take a look.
He sat down and opened the bible and a small piece of paper fell out, a cheque for exactly $168,600.
Because of Johns arrogance he had ruined his relationship with his father who had only cared for him and now he could never talk to him again...
