If you have projectiles for spray, lightning, beam, stone, ice, wouldn't you be able to colorshift that?Of course, shields are a bit of a special case, but I think the amounts of datablocks needed for them can be decreased too.Of course, that only covers the "normal fire" for them, but I think something similar would be possible for AoE and self-fire. I actually think there'd only be needed one datablock extra for each melee weapon (the "light" effect on it), as well as one for the effect when you hit.
You still need another datablock for colorshifting.
How about just the Magicks (Thunderbolt, tornado, haste, fear, ect.)?They could be books and require a cool-down to be used repeatedly.Personally, I would like Thunderbolt to gib my opponents, or severely damage them.
You still need another datablock for colorshifting.Didn't even factor in shields either. No matter which way you do it, it can't really be done without a bunch of datablocks unless you don't want it to look like Magicka.
the way i thought about it were spells were only variables, not items, that doesn't help datablocks at all, if that's what you were thinking.ugh i really would like this to be made! D:
Talked to Flaw, according to him colorshifts do NOT require individual datablocks.
I meant elements. How else would you conjure them?
that's what i meantkeybinds/servercmd
Two problems.1) The keyboard is fairly crowded already.2) We now have three places to move two hands between. That might not work out that well.
yeah, that's an issue for sure.what do you mean by console controller element wheel
It's a pie menu.If you have an Xbox 360, try connecting the controller and play with that, that should show it. Otherwise, I'll try recording a video of it later.
i dont have an xbox 360
