Name a game series whit a disappointing sequel

Many titles of games that developers have made are getting worse reputation for worse sequels. this topic is about those sequels so experienced can warn un-experienced from buying a bad game and spending their money on bad games that were just not worth it.

Black & White series, the sequel introduced new features that made things interesting but fell short of the original due to lack of features that made it so unique, and also lack of multiplayer/skirmish.

Crysis series.  Crysis 2 had completely different aliens and a completely different nanosuit, despite it being a nanosuit that was featured in the first game (Prophet's nanosuit), and also made the suit some really dumb bioweapon because apparently it's easier to generate genetic codes in a nanosuit instead of a laboratory.

Starting from Gorilla, I was hoping Armageddon was going to be open world, big let down.

I actually read the entire Wikipedia article on all of those yesterday. Penumbra was going to be a 3 part series, but it was cut down to two. People were confused, so they made that to try to tie things together.

Fable II, on the other hand...
Fable III was a complete pile of balverine feces and my expectations were through the roof for it.

Dammit Peter Molyneux, be sure to deliver next time you decide to promise the world.
