Author Topic: New Audio System for my Car  (Read 1663 times)

Well after blowing out the two front speakers in my car last summer I finally found time to get them replaced. But I figured while I'm at it why not replace the old, crappy system currently in my car with a better one. So I decided to buy all high end speakers for my car plus a whole new stereo system.

I went with Kicker speakers and a shiny new Kenwood stereo which I purchased all at best buy:

Today finally came the appointment I made with an audio shop to install everything I bought. Took them about two hours and I think everything came out rather nicely.

The Stereo:

Ignore the "No Device" warning, its only because I did not have my Ipod plugged in.

Lights up nice and pretty in the dark:

Overall the system sounds and looks great. It was rather pricey but in the end I think it was worth it.

Looks good man. Though I am not experienced with this stuff.

Looks awesome, always need some goodness when it comes to systems.

I'm still trying to find a car but none of them have CD players and it makes me sad.

I need to upgrade my cars system. The 2 front speakers are worse than mobile phone speakers. The back ones aren't bad but bottom out really easily.
I have some really great cabinet reflex speakers that I might chuck in, still in cabinets. Who needs back seats :D

Haha, I just replaced that kenwood box with a new one. I loved it though.

This is inspiring me to get a job in order for me to have enough money to pay for a car I want.

Looks nice, can you lend me your car keys? :cookieMonster:

Yeah I think its nice, I really did not want to spend to much on the stereo itself since I also needed speakers as well. What did you replace it with?

Hmmmmmmmm, nah. :P

Overall with everything and installation this cost me about $650. Not the cheapest but it sounds amazing.

Nice audio how loud are they?

Off topic:Once my dad caught the car on fire because he over powered his 12" speakers using his amp thats go's to show it DONT put speakers that belong to a radio in a car.

Once my dad put big cabinet speakers from a 'radio' into his car and it didn't catch on fire.
True story.
