Author Topic: I'm looking for free video editing software.  (Read 3549 times)

Does anyone know where I can find some video editing software for free? Just something to add in images or cut scenes, whatever. I don't care if quality is stuffty and I think stuffty quality is better.

Windows Movie Maker.

Lol

If you want to put animated .gifs on it, don't get the newest version of it.

I would say VirtualDub but Windows Movie Maker seems like the kind of thing you'd need.

Go ahead and search up VirtualDub anyway though, that's what I use for my Stepmania videos.

im pretty sure movie maker is what you're looking for, but whatever

Avidemux.

Works pretty well.

Even though you sound like you don't want anything spectacular (Which makes Movie Maker the prime choice for you), there is one free piece of software I have heard of. It's called Lightworks.

Windows Live Movie Maker

lol Lightworks is hard to use

But it has everything you asked for.

Less stuffty than that so I can do something like youtube poop but not actually youtube poop.

Windows Movie Maker isn't bad, it's just not as fulfilling as other editing software. And it butchers video quality just a tiny bit.

Windows live Movie maker isn't stuffty.

I want to upload videos to youtube and windows live movie maker just makes it into a stuffty format that I can't use called .MSWMM.

Microsoft has a video encoder that allows image overlays. It's called "Expression Encoder 4".
