because it's a legit good show. i can understand being offput by it being my little pony (if you've seen the previous gens you know what i'm talking about), but despite that it manages to be on the same level of quality as adventure time/regular show/etc. the humour is good, the slice of life episodes are amazing, plus there's an actual level of character development. the characters have flaws, yes, but that makes them seem more real and relatable as opposed to them just being there to drive along the episode.
