I'm expecting a "no", but one at the bottom has a dual core processor, and I really don't know what the numbers mean.

Anyways, maybe the top?

For example, Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2... Mainly TF2. :)

This is able to run Gmod on at least medium (I can't remember if it can run on high because I haven't playing on it in a while) so I'm sure it can run other source games.

Don't buy a dell. Whatever you do.

I presume your budget is $300?

Actually, it can go into the $400-$500 range.

Oh! Also, I'm looking at a DELL Alienware m11x. $800.

I've looked at vids and it runs games really well, from what I've seen. It's even made specifically for gaming, but not PURELY for gaming. Looks pretty good.

Don't do it, It may be able to run Source games, but it is a Dell.

IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

Get a Compaq

There is nothing wrong with that laptop. I own one and it works very well.

well using that site, there are only dual core lappies for 500 or less.
the lifespan of those comps are very very short.

I got a Toshiba Satellite C655D for $350, It works great, It has a 15.6' VGA LCD Screen, 320Gb Hard Disk, 3Gb of RAM (Expandable to 8Gb), But only 1.00GHz. It's really fast if you delete all the Toshiba Crapware that comes with it. Also, I'd bet you could Overclock it if you wanted to. I run games with medium-high settings with very little problems.

a 1ghz with no video card? im going to come out and call you a liar that you can run games with med-high settings.
unless your playing early 2000 ones, and even then they arent going to be that great.

It has AMD® Radeon™ HD 6250. Also, I play Medal of Honor: Airborne. That's from '07

Seriously, what's wrong with desktop PCs.

There is nothing wrong with that laptop. I own one and it works very well.
This. I have an M11X, and it's great. Other people might say "no it turrble", but that's because they're expecting it to outperform a super 1337 desktop that can "run cryses at liek 99999999 fps". It isn't a monster, but if you're looking for something that can run most modern games pretty well on medium-high settings, then get an M11X.

I get ~50 FPS on Oblivion/Fallout3/New Vegas on Ultra High, Source games ~75 FPS on Highest settings 2X AA, and I'm sure it can easily handle anything else on high except Crysis 1/2.
