Ever tried zooming into an emitter before? Yea, it slows frame rate like age slows your metabolism. The gore mod makes a lot of emitters and keeps them there for WAY too long. Trying to snipe someone next to 15 other people being shot, dieing and spewing emitter blood everywhere is hell for your FPS. Even with a good computer.

You obviously don't zoom in, or have many people on your DM/TDM servers at one time.

I never lag with emitters, or the blood and gore mod.

I find the issue depressing.

For those who claim that the gore mod does not lag them. Do this simple experiment to see why I personally hate it.
1) Spawn an emitter like the Camera Flare.
2) Zoom into it.
3) Watch as frame rate drops
As a sniper or someone who likes to use the zoom feature a lot, it sucks.

(The gore mod/emitters do not lag if you do not zoom.)

Uh, hmm... I dont get that lag even on my good cpu with that... Maybe its cause I have my particle settings all turned to performance in advanced prefs?
