It is possible, my friend has been messing around with it and has figured out a way to load a brick after its broken ingame, and save the brick, AND again, the purpose of the mod is to 1. Never go above the brick limit 2. You won't lag at all, even with a stuffty PC

Bump, turns out my friend is about 80 - 90% done with the mod :o, its really hacky so its probrebly gonna stay a private mod, I'll make a video of it when its done tho

What do you mean really hacky? And what about bots? Will their vehicle spawns still be active at greater distance to avoid bot deletion?

Its in extreme beta right now, so there won't be anything special like that yet, but me and him flew around the default maze build a bit and the bricks deleted and regenerated like a charm, and by hacky, I mean every time a brick is planted, a new zone is spawned around it, if you're in the zone, the bricks show up, if you aren't, the opposite, so, say you have 256,000 bricks, thats 256,000 triggers, and until he figures out a way to do the same thing he did with the bricks to the TRIGGERS, then its definetly "hacky"

Yeah. You would have to give vehicles their own radius.


What's wrong with draw distance? You can lower it to the smallest amount, then you will never experience any lag. What you're saying is basically that, but it un-renders the bricks completely when you leave the view area.

Blockland already has something similar to this, far away bricks don't load until you go within viewing distance. Since the reason for a brick limit is an issue with networking, deleting them when you go far away won't help.

So far it appears nobody, apart from me, in this thread understands what he wants.

The problem is that half of it already exists in the game, and the other half won't make a difference if it's added.
