It's a first person shooter in which you attempt to complete various missions. Its main enemies are called the Exomorphs. I'm installing a virtual machine to play it on because it won't work with the latest version of DirectX.

Quite. I have good memories of playing it. I also have bad memories of playing it with cheats on. Somehow when I had cheats on something always flung me into a bottomless pit.

I can't find the first game, but I do have a copy of EFII installed on my laptop. It's a good game despite outdated graphics.
