Author Topic: Aplem got accepted into an Institute - Updates to OP - Explains everthing  (Read 3277 times)

Can you send subliminal message to Gabe Newell about working on Episode 3?

It's not a game design institute, it's the Art Institute which has everything from culinary to architecture.
Anyways, nice. My mother graduated there and is now an interior designer.

Please take this profession seriously, you don't know what kind of games you'll be making yet.

Well, I would not make a joke of it!

Wow good luck man!

But yeah like Riot said, take this seriously.

Also, nice ninja.

Good luck at Hogwarts That gaming institute!

You should make a zombie survival where everything is as realistic as you can make it

Where I am theres a forgetton of game design and media institutes in Canada.

Wich one do I take? :3

Well, wouldn't that require the best computers out there.

Make blockland adventure mode

Poll makes me cringe

Unorganized yes, basically I just needed an idea of what people like best.

Make blockland adventure mode

Eric would have to be asked, I can already tell you. It is a no.

Make a game where you make games.

Try to make a game like fallout, but where you can make buildings and other stuff

I heard a lot of Game Design places do a stuff ton of theory, have fun sitting there writing documents and getting forget all real experience. Also if you knew anything about being in the game industry you'll be the menu bitch or modelling the background props for the first 2 years of being actually in the industry not including schooling. The job can also be stressful and involves a lot of backstabbing to get job positions. Starting up your own company is insanely hard and costs a bare minimum of $10,000 just for a basic indie game, if you game doesn't sell you don't earn any money and you can become in debt.

The game industry is not for wussies just because you love games doesn't mean you'll love designing them or making them.

>game design
>200 drawings
>no mention of programming/scripting
So you mean that you are training to be an artist?

Make Blockland V20  :cookieMonster:

but in all seriousness, try something on the line of minecraft but with more difficulty and BL-type blocks. I said try.

Am I the only one who thinks Aplem is getting ahead of himself by taking suggestions for game designs?

A sand box adventure game with a lot of features and maybe multiplayer in the later versions. A non generic one though
