Sir Lancelot and blockhead55, your both in as builders, Sir Lancelot, you are also a writer.

Do you have any idea what the skill of your builders are? Can they build with a consistent theme? How do you plan to co-ordinate 5 different scripters working on one script? How are you going to manage the enormous brick count this would require? Will it be single player or co-op or will you host it on your own server? Will you publicly release the pack that this will use? Why would you need event knowledge if you have 5 scripters? What skills do YOU YOURSELF bring to the project? How are you going to make sure your scripters don't forget up if you don't know how to script? How do you plan to keep the project on track? How do you plan to write a compelling storyline based on Blockland, if that's even a priority? How are you going to design all of the levels this would require? Do you have any idea what the scale of this project would be? Are you going to require modeling assets? How will you get them? How are you going to balance all of the things this will use? You've got to answer all these questions before you start and this is off the top of my head. Best of luck though.

I like this topic a lot more than the other one about making adventure mode.

This one understands the basic idea of the adventure mode.

Do you have any idea what the skill of your builders are? I'm taking their word for it right now, but when building begins if it becomes apparent that they are floundering in their own lack of knowledge, they will be asked to leave.
I also know some of them to be experienced.

Can they build with a consistent theme? Defaultish will be pretty simple to fall into, if it doesn't look good, then they re-do it.
How do you plan to co-ordinate 5 different scripters working on one script? This will most likely be a system of scripts.
How are you going to manage the enormous brick count this would require? The brick count would not spike too much, it is based on individual levels within maps, there might only be an issue with slate maps.
Will it be single player or co-op or will you host it on your own server? Single Player, we may worry about co-op later on, we have to get the main body done first.
Will you publicly release the pack that this will use? Yes.
Why would you need event knowledge if you have 5 scripters? The essential stuff, like guis, and consistent gameplay elements, will be done by the scripters. Eventers will do the AIs, objectives, and level construction.
What skills do YOU YOURSELF bring to the project? I am very organized, have been praised for my creative writing many times over. I am the engine that fiercely wants this completed, will keep everyone on track, and provides sound ideas.
How are you going to make sure your scripters don't forget up if you don't know how to script? Testing, testing, testing.
How do you plan to keep the project on track? Everyone will be given very specific instructions, which will have to be carried out. We create the architecture, then we get to work level-by-level.
How do you plan to write a compelling storyline based on Blockland, if that's even a priority? The story will be light and fun, we don't want it to end up like a stupid RP.
How are you going to design all of the levels this would require? Input from the community will make alot of choices.
Do you have any idea what the scale of this project would be? Massive, a project almost as big as RTB itself.
Are you going to require modeling assets? No, we will use items and vehicles already created.
How will you get them?
How are you going to balance all of the things this will use? We will just have to try our best.
You've got to answer all these questions before you start and this is off the top of my head. Best of luck though.

Thank you for taking these points to notice, it is important to have a good idea of what we do want to do before we begin.

Ideas mean nothing.

Reason for wanting to help: Because this project sounds fun, and I think I could be of help.

I don't think I can help, but I would love to beta test.

Can I script?

Also, if you need a modeler, I could.

ID: 9643
In-Game: Pecon7

I want to help with Eventing (And then back to that landscape generator...)

Uxie, your in, but I need an ID please. Gothboy, you're in too.
Pecon7, We probably don't need terragen, but if we do, he released it, due to a leak from Xanner.

Reduced number of builder and scripter jobs, I realized we didn't need quite so many.

Erm... You may want to make a map containing Bedroom, Kitchen, the Slopes and Slate if you want this done correctly. It would actually be a simple map to make - name it "Default".

There is a level system in where the maps are contained seperate, with preload builds. Brickcount would be way too high with that and it would be short and uninteresting.
