It's got to have a disk, look for a windows seven CD case that came with the laptop.

Then you're forgeted boi. Go buy a new OS from the store or access your HD from a different computer.

And no, OS disks don't always come with the computer. I got a good laptop a few years back and it didn't come with a disk.

No they don't. Most prebuilt brands don't bother, they just install an OEM dealer version.
They most likely just supplied restore disk(s).

Not a button. Best you can do is restore it to factory conditions but that'll wipe all your data

And with it being a laptop removing the HD isn't advisable.

Buy an OS disk.

2 minutes isn't really enough to do a restore, is it :(

Idc, screw my data. I just want my computer.

I bet that if he can get it to start it will continue to work, but the boot screen doesn't even show.

Last option I just thought of is to turn on your computer and then force turn it off. Then it will ask you if you want to boot normally or do something else. If I remember correctly you can start a startup repair. I did one today on a Vista.

Then press F1 or whatever it tells you to press to turn on Setup screen when booting up. It might not work at first but that's due to bad timing since the window of opportunity is pretty small

Once inside the setup there should be an option to restore to factory conditions.
