Author Topic: So I'm trying to learn how to play 40k.  (Read 1781 times)

I don't play warhammer as much now. I'm really tempted to sell my tau models, save on fire warrior squad, and by some battlefleet gothic ships

well whoever at the counter asked you at least one question, right? I mean if they're into it they ask a lot of questions cause they're cool.
Ask the people who work in that store and you'll hopefully get a lot of information. Maybe it's just that the people here at Fantasia are awesome.

I was about to edit, they had offered me to play a game. The first thing he had said was "Are you new to this hobby?"
They also had given me a small booklet with events on, like how to build and paint models, and certain other games on.

Whilst I spend weeks struggling to comprehend the rules and lore of 40k, I'll eventually go out and buy the painting starter kit with some other paints and brushes.

Sound good?

Apologies for triple post, but this needs bumping.

did it even leave first page

Not quite.

The Hobby Starter Kit (paint kit) costs £30.
And paints are at least £2 a pot. And those pots are small.

We're nearing the end of page 2, so I guess?

no I mean if you would buy the colours seperate

also the pots are small and they used to be bigger but they still contain the same amount of paint

it's still recent and shouldn't be bumped because if people did that then half of a lot of topics would only be bumps

Yes, you can buy seperate paints with seperate colours. I also didn't know that the new pots hold the same amount of paint, thanks for the info.

My bad for not noticing, sorry.

Yes, you can buy separate paints with separate colours.
I know

buy the start kit if it's cheaper than buying the colours separate

My dad plays Warhammer 40,000. He once introduced me to it, and I started liking it at first. After I've finished painting my first Space Marine Bike, my dad told me that I still needed 3 more in order to play a proper game, and that's what made me instantly quit.

The starter kit also includes some glue, foilage for the model bases and some frame clippers for removing the models and assembling them.
