Author Topic: Looking to loose some fat.  (Read 3131 times)

What zeros said, try to substitute all the juice and stuff for water. I've heard it helps flush out your body? Also, me and my dad did the P90x routine it works fabulous.

Eat laxatives to lose some weight.

Ok time for no more jokes, i usually run 1-2 miles every day try that.

I just limited my calories and sugar and stuff.
I use myplate.com to count calories.

If you want to lose some weight in way that's healthy, then start by cutting all the stuff you consume.  You don't have to eat chicken and vegetables everyday, but stop all the junk food.  Drink water only, I know at first it's bland, but once your body realizes how loving good it is for you, it taste GREAT. Other than that, you can pretty eat whatever you want within reason. Then I suggest you start doing P90x, since you can workout at home. Once you're confident with your body, start working out in public(Gyms, jogging, ect) and make friends who are also active to keep motivated. I've lost 15lbs in the last quarter and I've truly never felt better. If you want to lose weight like a handicap, then starve yourself. Also whenever you do cardio, you should be sweating and feeling your heart beat, anything less is a waste of time.
I dont want to do that P90x stuff.
I heard that stuff is intense. I want to casually loose this stuff.

Also, doing some pushups (Typing this while taking a break!) and damn, this is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.

P90 really isn't that hardcore, during the workout you're not expected to torture yourself. Tony even says quite frequently "If you nee to take a break take one."

Perhaps ill look at some of the workouts

I did research on this so trust me.

Either decrease your calorie intake (assuming that you are a teenager I don't recomment this since you are growing) or increase it and burn the calories you increased. Let's say you eat 1500 cal. per day. You increase it to 2000. Then you have to burn 500 calories. Don't decrease it and never go down a 1000 cal diet. I consumed about 700 calories a day for two weeks and I got dizzy.

You should do cardio workouts which are running, dancing, swimming, etc. Whatever makes your heart rate faster. Cut out the bad food from your diet. By experience, dairy makes you fat. I cut out dairy from my diet completely and I've noticed differences. You shouldn't eliminate dairy because you do need your dairy intake; I just did it because I was intolerant.

And also from experience. I wanted to do an experiment to see if I look any different doing 20 min of crunches everyday. Nothing happened. You have to lose the fat first then do crunches. Crunches helps your abs get tone, not make you lose fat.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Good luck and lose it steadily; it'll give you the most efficient result rather than losing a pound a day.

Another question.
Mom says that lifting these 20 pound weight thingys will help me.

Any truth to that?

Somewhat, lifting weights doesn't really help you lose fat, just gain muscle.

this

Just lose the fat first. Get tone later.

It's good to lift weights when your trying to lose weight. But make sure you get cardio in as well, otherwise you won't be burning as much fat. Ideally you want to build muscle and burn fat at the same time, but if you are looking to just trim off a few pounds, you would likely just go with burning.
