Alright, right now we can join any server, ghost for a bit, then save and it's yours.  But what if we need trust to save people's build?  Like, if you save on a server but you don't have someone's trust it won't show up in the save.

For example, let's say I build a house and some random guy builds a tree.  The guy saves his build on my server and goes to single player to load it.  Only the tree will appear because he doesn't have my full trust.

Someone goes to server, builds awesome thing and leaves. you want to save it, because you are his friend from somewhere else and he would give trust to you if you ask.

It'd be like you going to an art convention, and you're allowed to bring your best painting.  The world's most famous critics are there and will buy random art pieces that they love for tons of cash.  HOWEVER!  By bringing your art, the rule is "If someone takes it without anyone noticing and runs off, they are allowed to keep it, no objections."

So, you COULD bring it, for you could get rich, BUT there is a large chance that someone will just simply steal it.  No repercussions.  It's like "forgeted up World" and "Utopia" got slammed together and made a new world called "This loving Sucks".

Wouldn't a way around a feature like this being to load the bricks with no ownership if this were made/possible?


This has been suggested dozens of times. It's impossible to do.
The server has no control over saving, the client gets all the brick data when they load, they just need to write it to a file.
The only thing the server can control is saving events.

Not only will this never be made, but it's also impossible. Saving is mostly client sided. The only server sided part about saving is events and maybe ownership.

Even if you stop them from saving brick by having it autokick or just never send the data, I'm sure they'll still have the brick save.

On top of that, if someone does create a mod to stop build saving somehow, Badspot said he'd disable it.
The game is about finding builds online, saving them, and doing what you like with them.  I'm not changing it and if you find some crazy way to stop saves from working, I will patch the game in order to fix it (already done it once, please don't waste any more of my time).
