Author Topic: Your beliefs on death  (Read 2746 times)

pffft, thats not gonna happen, why should i care

I have several theories...

You click "respawn."
You run back to your corpse as a ghost and resurrect.
You put another coin in.
You start over from the beginning.

U becum enternet robawt and keel gurls wif bloo eyes and turn into a po;tateo

i dont even like to think about this :(

You are ded. Not big surprise.

when you die, youre dead
poof
nothing
your consciousness ends
you are nothing

My views are...

>> Body dies
>> Brain dies

Consciousness, memories, personality, and everything else are all stored in or as the result of the brain. Once its gone its gone.

when you die, youre dead
poof
nothing
your consciousness ends
you are nothing
It's hard to imagine not having a consciousness.

It's hard to imagine not having a consciousness.
even when you think of nothing, you probably imagining everything all white or black or something

not even that

your mind ends

it might be impossible for the human mind to imagine absolutely nothing, i dunno im not a brainicysist

Due to the lack of knowledge we have over the death and it's not so certain ending I can only assume that death grants one's mind peace. Peace that is forever.

But is time infinite and so is death?

It indeed is hard to comprehend a time where you do not exist. Where you can't think. Where you won't be. But that is the thing, we just won't know. The same way you didn't know before you were born. As far as our minds are concerned, time starts when you live and ends when you die.

A few other people have already said it (like the guy above me) but i believe that your consciousness end. You wont know your dead or anything you just will be. There is a belief that everything is consciously connected so your mass may end up as other life but you will remember nothing about your previous lives or the one your in now. Either way the person you are when you die is gone forever.

Religion is there for those people who cant deal with the fact they will die and are not important enough to save or keep consciously existing.

Two topics about death.
What.

Maybe we have died and we are in a state of sub-conscious or whatever.

Well things we know:
Body decomposes
You cannot awaken

I used to believe in a heaven, especially after I had dreams in being in a white space with my dead loved ones.
But that was when I was a devout Catholic, and if my religion exists, then I'm screwed. I want to believe that we have souls but there are no evidence. Death is like a deep sleep. A sleep where you do not remember you were sleeping, except you don't wake up. Sometimes I wish I never existed because then I wouldn't have to contemplate about this.
