Author Topic: Your beliefs on death  (Read 2797 times)

My girlfriend was supposedly legally dead for about fifteen seconds.
:U
She said it was like when you get five more minutes to sleep and you feel super awesome and want it to last forever.
Except i think she's full of stuff.

I think of it as:
You die and go to nothingness
death note references

IMO i don't think or give a stuff about what happens after death, i've already decided that A: i don't believe in god, and B: if for some reason i'm wrong and there IS an afterlife, i'll deal with that stuff after i'm dead. i don't need unnecessary trouble now to deal with something that could or could not happen after i die.

You're only legally dead if you couldn't of been brought back to life. Otherwise your heart just temporarily stopped.

you are considered legally dead if your heart stops beating. you used to be legally dead if your heart is beating so softly that it is only barely keeping your brain alive in a state of hibernation, because stethoscopes couldn't hear the slow, soft beats. there are machines for that now though.

i believe that death is inevitable, and as almost all things inevitable, we can only watch and wait. you cant exactly prepare for something after death or can you O.o damn egyptians

IMO i can just say forgetitall, have fun while i can, and i'll cross the river styx when i get to it.

The closest theory to any kind of afterlife is probably quantum soul theory. I think if I recall; the belief that the brain is actually webbed into space which is a place holder for memory and information. The brain is a zero-point collective hologram where the conscious self temporarily resides. When the body dies the (?) extracts from the brain and extends back into the universe and fills the expansion volume.

Meaning that everyone is a single conscious body and when sentient lifeforms die they all converge into the once super-conscious entanglement.

Even though consciousness may be easily interpreted into the single organ that contains the super advanced thought process which makes up our consciousness, doesn't quite mean it is. We still can't define consciousness and soul is just the lazy term for it.

If this truly is the answer then that means in the quantum computer era you'll be able to download your ancestors and dead parents.

Somewhat rational Christians are now converging onto this topic trying to explain god and heaven. Their actions are predictable, this is Human nature to try to survive by adapting.

Just some cool stuff wanted to share.

Anyways, I wish it is true.

Edit: Wouldn't that create complications if we were to leave this universe? I mean if we were a property of it, then we would die.

nothing, we can't comprehend it.

Respawn in 3...2...1..

Who cares about dying, if you die that's it nothing to worry about because you're dead.

The reality is that you love consciousness forever, but since that's a scary though people imagine an afterlife. It's pretty comforting, which I why I choose to believe in it, even though I know it's really wrong.

when you die it's like having an climax
but it never ends!!
because you're always dead.

We don't really know in particular. It is knowledge in which cannot be discovered. The logic behind "what happens when you die", is unknown. And it's considered you don't try and spend your life trying to find out.

The reality is that you love consciousness forever
Either misspelled or i just don't understand?
