Author Topic: A quick question about online PS3 features.  (Read 506 times)

So I've been looking at Monster Hunter Portable 3rd 3 HD Ver., and I found that it's only available in Japan right now. If I bought it from there and got it shipped to America, could I still play online? Or is it like a Japan-only online connection?

:I

Yes, you could still play it, but you'd lag like no tomorrow.

So just wait for the game to come out for the U.S.

Japan is only a few thousand miles away and ping would be a bit over 150.

Not sure about this but I have heard of consoles only playing a disk that was made in the US. If they don't bplay the game it gives you an error code about the game being a not from the same country as your console is.

If it's available over Japan's PSN, switch your language/country and download it. Then switch back.

I'm sorry if I sound stupid but is a 150 ping good? ;-;

Capcom is contemplating never releasing Monster Hunter games to the US ever again.

Good, mine's around 12-13mbps.
