Author Topic: are there any Fallout New Vegas mods that can help the FPS  (Read 1151 times)

I'm playing F:NV, but it's a little too much at times, and I get a bit of stuttering
it's not too much to deal with, but I would like to know if there are any mods that can help with it

Like one hit kill headshots?

I can buy the courier surviving a shot to the head because at least you stay in a coma for awhile. When you shoot random NPCs in the head they are still standing.

Wrong topic.

what
that has nothing to deal with the framerate

there was this one mod that allowed me to go from lowest to high graphics...but i can't remember that name, if i can remember it i'll let you know asap

1. Download dx9.dll file from http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34778

2. Place file in ../steamapps/common/fallout new vegas (or wherever your falloutNV.exe is located)

3. Restart steam and the game. Game will now use Directx 9 Render Path instead of the backward computability DX9 API with DX10

i hope this helps for now

I think he thought the title meant
Mods that help the first person shooting.

That's exactly what I thought.

This post wasn't exactly clear either.

it was pretty damn clear
you're just dense

in steam
right click new vegas
>properies
>set launch options (general tab)
> -dxlevel 81

Commonly people say framerate over FPS.
