Not any expert on military vehicles but I don't think swat would use something that heavy duty.

doing a search on "swat tank -gta" brings up vehicles like that, and modified m113 apcs; the armored cars are basically trucks with armored plating and a gun on top.

You are saying an apc is classified as a WHEELED VEHICLE. There are many Armored personell carriers out their with treads. Their roles often conflict with IFVS which have treads and can be mistaken for a TANK. You are thinking of the Army's Stryker ,the Marine's LAV, and Soviet BTR-60 as the only apcs around. Also the vehicle could be classified as an apc, but it was designed as an armored scout car.
