Would you be able to make a tank that the driver controls the turret?

probably; it'd be like with the apache, only the MG is controlled by the driver

I don't think this will work 100% because I've never looked at the code used in the apache

could someone patch together a script for it? im am completely no good an ground based vehicles, half of mine dont even show up ingame

well, I love the idea. It would cool, so like in Battlefield heroes, The driver controls turret,
and the second guy is IN the turret, but he can only use his weapons. It would be also cool,
that when the guy in turret crouches, he would be invulnerable (but tank should be still destroyed).

i would be difficult, but if i could get a ground vehicle scripter it might work out.

First off to make the tank itself better is to make it slower. You don't want to see a tank in a battlefield that's zooming at a speedy 100 mph at you.

i'm not going to play some sarcasm game when he asked a question, this is the mod forums not off topic. the answer was a solid no, as in it can't be done.

i agree, no sarcasm meant. but other than that, is there anyone who knows vehicle scripting that would be willing to help me out?

To be fair, if it was possible, the player model could have had a bending waistline, and the mech vehicles released ages ago probably would have worked like you proposed, instead of as a playrtype as is the current setting.

But what about the turning neck?
