its not advertized as an investment. (short term im guessing? since its loving unstable and may up and be gone forever suddenly)
but as a currency instead. THATS why i hate it.

im sure kids that spout a bunch of anti government stuff can preach about how great they are. but they are a fools way to make money.
I do not consider it a 'serious' currency.
Don't get me wrong here.
edit:
However I have the possibility to earn a few bucks doing nothing, which is pretty cool.
And I can donate to people something of some theroetical value without needing to say, use a credit card.

it's worthless for anything (except using it to pay for illegal stuff online)

except power bills and cost of hardware
"oh hey, thanks for the ten dollar donation! wait stuff, it's 1 dollar now. now it's 20"

1. My computer is always running anyway. It costs less to mine, with speakers/moniter turned off, than with an idle CPU/GPU and a moniter turned on.
2. You can hold your coins until they are more valuable.
3. It's kinda hard for the whole market to instanly crash, as it's a peer-to-peer regulated service.

I want to give my go at doing this sometime

if only i wasnt on a laptop

1. you only say that because your parents pay for electricity
2. that's not what you do with a currency! you spend currency

You could save up brosef.

You could save up brosef.
if you save up usd, you don't run the risk of your amount of cash dropping by 10% overnight

1. I said something about how much electricity it uses, not how I don't give a stuff how much it uses. Learn to read.
2. When the hell did I say I used it as constantly currency?

1. when you compare the cost of running an overclocked card all night vs leaving your computer on idle, the difference is HUGE
2. that is the point i am arguing (it's loving handicapped as a currency) and you're arguing against that
3. that's a really good point! i never thought of it that way

What's 3 even in responce to?

Anyway, I'm not arguming it's viability as a serious currency.
I'm arguing it as a side hobby and low commitment investment.
